Product overview

Frequent bottle-size changes can make conventional capping systems time-consuming when every format requires dedicated change parts. The TGLC-100 Automatic Linear Capping Machine is designed to address this requirement with a linear bottle-handling system, tool-less adjustments and minimal change parts for compatible container-size changes.

With a stated production speed of up to 100 bottles per minute, depending upon bottle and cap diameter, the machine is suited to Tanzania manufacturers requiring higher-output automatic screw capping without moving to a rotary capping configuration.

Technogen Enterprise is a Manufacturer and Supplier of Automatic Linear Capping Machine equipment for Tanzania, offering the TGLC-100 for screw-cap application on Glass, Plastic, HDPE, LDPE and PET bottles.

The machine uses a dedicated belt-type bottle gripping assembly to hold containers during capping. Screw caps are tightened using six tightening discs arranged as three sets of cap-tightening devices. The tightening action can be adjusted to achieve the required cap fit, while an inbuilt clutch helps prevent excessive cap rotation.

One of the principal advantages of the linear design is its adaptability to different bottle and closure formats. It is compactible with threaded caps, jar caps, plastic threaded caps, pump spray caps and metal caps.

Container diameters from 50 mm to 200 mm and heights from 75 mm to 400 mm are specified. The supported cap diameter range extends from 18 mm to 120 mm, providing a comparatively broad operating window for compatible applications.

Caps can be supplied through either a Cap Feeder Elevator or Cap Feeder Vibrator. Machine speed is controlled through a Variable Frequency Drive.

For production facilities in Tanzania handling several bottle formats, the combination of linear motion, tool-less adjustment and reduced dependency on change parts can simplify product changeovers while maintaining automatic operation.

Working principle

The Automatic Linear Capping Machine operates through continuous linear bottle movement.

Containers enter the machine from the left-hand side and travel along the conveyor towards the capping section.

A belt gripping assembly holds and stabilizes each bottle while it passes through the cap-tightening zone. This arrangement keeps the bottle controlled during screw-cap application without relying on a rotary star-wheel capping system.

Caps are supplied automatically using either a Cap Feeder Elevator or Cap Feeder Vibrator.

Once the cap is positioned on the bottle, the container travels through three sets of tightening devices comprising six tightening discs.

The tightening discs progressively apply the required rotary action to the cap. Their rotational setting can be adjusted according to the closure requirement, while the inbuilt clutch is designed to avoid over-rotation of the cap.

Machine speed is adjustable through the Variable Frequency Drive, allowing the operating rate to be matched to bottle and cap characteristics.

The machine incorporates a No Bottle-No Cap mechanism. The source information also specifies a No Cap-Cap Feeder On function, allowing the cap-feeding system to respond when caps are required.

After tightening is completed, the capped bottle continues through the linear conveyor towards the next stage of the packaging line.

TANZANIA APPLICATION GUIDE

Automatic Linear Capping Machine for Tanzania production

For manufacturers in Tanzania, Automatic Linear Capping Machine should be evaluated against the actual product, pack format, production schedule and operating environment. The TGLC-100 Automatic Linear Capping Machine delivers up to 100 bottles per minute with minimal change parts, belt-type bottle gripping and six cap-tightening discs for varied bottle and screw-cap formats. The selected arrangement must suit both routine output and the changeovers expected during normal production.

Operating and product considerations

Closure quality depends on the relationship between the bottle neck, cap geometry, feeding method and tightening or crimping action. Samples are used to confirm container support, cap presentation and the correct head or tooling so that closures are applied consistently without avoidable bottle damage or line stoppages.

Planning the complete production line

A complete Tanzanian packaging line may connect this capper with bottle feeding, liquid or powder filling, induction or foil sealing, labelling, coding and accumulation. The upstream delivery rate, conveyor height, container stability and downstream inspection requirement should be reviewed together before the final layout is approved.

Information required for machine selection

  • Bottle and closure samples with dimensional drawings
  • Closure application method, torque or crimping requirement
  • Cap feeding, container stability and upstream line speed

Enquiries are supported for projects in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, Arusha, Morogoro and other Tanzanian industrial locations. The final model, construction, output, documentation and support scope are confirmed in the commercial and technical offer.
