Product overview

Modern sleeve labeling demands accurate sleeve positioning at increasingly high line speeds while controlling material wastage and accommodating different container formats. The Shrink Sleeve Labeling Machine combines servo-controlled sleeve dispensing, high-speed cutting and PLC-HMI control to provide a flexible automatic solution for full-body, neck-sleeve and tamper-evident labeling applications.

Technogen Enterprise is a Manufacturer and Supplier of Shrink Sleeve Labeling Machine solutions for Tanzania, offering production capacities from up to 100 to 300 containers per minute, depending on the selected configuration, container size and container shape.

The machine handles a broad range of sleeve materials including PVC, PET, OPS and PLA, providing flexibility for different shrink-sleeve packaging requirements.

Container compatibility includes Glass, PET and HDPE bottles, while the machine can also be configured for various shapes of glass, plastic, PET, tin and corrugated containers.

A major operational feature is the No Container–No Sleeve system. Sleeve dispensing is prevented when no container is detected, helping reduce unnecessary consumption of sleeve material during production.

Sleeve movement is controlled through an advanced servo-based dispensing system, while a high-speed rotary cutter separates each sleeve to the required length. An optical scanner assists accurate sleeve positioning and control during the labeling cycle.

The machine is manufactured using AISI 304 Stainless Steel and incorporates a sleeve roll loading plate, carrier assembly, conveyor assembly, bottle-separating mechanism, main centre pillar, container-positioning arrangement, cutting mechanism, optical scanner, electrical control assembly and brush assembly.

For manufacturers and packaging operations in Tanzania, the machine provides a scalable automatic sleeving platform capable of handling container diameters from 28 mm to 125 mm, container heights up to 320 mm and sleeve lengths from 30 mm to 250 mm.

Working principle

The sleeve roll is mounted onto the machine's sleeve roll loading arrangement and guided through the carrier and sleeve-dispensing system.

Containers enter the machine through the conveyor and are separated at the required spacing through the bottle-separating mechanism.

The container-positioning arrangement maintains the bottle in the correct position as it moves towards the sleeving station.

Sleeve material is dispensed through the servo-controlled sleeve feeding system, allowing accurate and repeatable sleeve movement.

An optical scanner monitors the sleeve during the feeding cycle so that the required sleeve length can be positioned for cutting.

The high-speed rotary cutter cuts the sleeve according to the selected sleeve length.

The cut sleeve is then transferred and positioned over the container.

The brush assembly assists the sleeve as it is placed around the container and helps maintain correct positioning during machine movement.

If no container is detected, the No Container–No Sleeve system prevents sleeve dispensing, reducing sleeve-material wastage.

Machine operating speed is controlled through a sensorless Variable Frequency Drive, while the PLC-HMI interface provides control over the machine's operating functions.

TANZANIA APPLICATION GUIDE

Shrink Sleeve Labeling Machine for Tanzania production

For manufacturers in Tanzania, Shrink Sleeve Labeling Machine should be evaluated against the actual product, pack format, production schedule and operating environment. High-speed servo-controlled shrink sleeve labeling machine for full-body sleeving, neck sleeving and tamper-evident applications on glass, PET, HDPE, plastic, tin and corrugated containers, with outputs up to 300 containers per minute. The selected arrangement must suit both routine output and the changeovers expected during normal production.

Operating and product considerations

Reliable label placement begins with the container shape, surface, label stock, backing paper, adhesive and required application position. Product samples help define guides, sensors, dispensing geometry and pressing devices while also confirming how quickly an operator can change between supported formats.

Planning the complete production line

For a Tanzania packaging project, the labeller should be planned with the conveyor, upstream filling or capping machine and any batch-coding or inspection system. Container spacing and orientation affect placement consistency, so the proposal should consider the whole transfer sequence rather than the label head alone.

Information required for machine selection

  • Container shape and dimensional range
  • Label material, backing, dimensions and required application position
  • Coding requirement, output and upstream product spacing

Enquiries are supported for projects in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, Arusha, Morogoro and other Tanzanian industrial locations. The final model, construction, output, documentation and support scope are confirmed in the commercial and technical offer.
